Crisis loan online application form

By on 175 comments

Applying for a Crisis loan is usually done over the telephone using your local SOCIAL FUND TELEPHONE NUMBER, however, depending on your particular crisis it may be appropriate to make a paper application.

A paper Crisis Loan application is usually used when there is no immediate risk to your health and safety, and you are able to wait up to two weeks for a decision.  The online crisis loan application is EXACTLY the same as the application that you will fill out over the phone with a Decision Maker, so it may well be worth reading through the application even if you are considering applying over the phone to make sure you are ready for any questions that are asked during the interview.

I don’t think its right that you have stopped crisis loans, you told my sister to keep paying full rent and now you have left her in her UN-expected overdraft and wont help her and her 4 year old boy out! I think its disgusting! you need to sort the system out because you are giving the wrong people money!

It’s almost a joke, that the government put a stop to Crisis Loans. There are very poor people out here in this world, that have children, and are stuck for cash. Human beings need money to survive. It’s a NECESSITY, not a WANT. Not all of us can jusu conjure up money from nowhere. Not all of us can afford a mortgage, or a new conservatory. The government are treating us like they’re against us. Looking out for us? I doubt it. It shows in their actions that they are clearly out to sabotage benefit claimants, and other poor types. The government can disguise it as anything they want, but I’m not naive enough to buy into their little speeches. Go on, David Cameron, and all other inconsiderate punks, laugh your head off about how you will finally end the lives of all poor people for good. Just waiting until they finally sneek Cyanide into my food. You can just see it happening. It reeks of ways to kill off the poor, does it not? I can definitely sense it.

have the crisis loans stopped altogether ,this is ridiculous i understand there are peaple who have no intentions of working or payin tax ,and i dont think its right to give them a loan every time they use their giro on drink or drugs, but surely the gov realise there are genuine cases of peaple who are in a crisis like starting a new job and not bein paid for 2 weeks into it ,or peaple with kids who have run out of gas and electric because the bills are bigger than usual ,this will only force peaple to use money lenders and other dangerous ways of getting help ,i wish this bloody goverment would stop helping the rich get richer while the poor are stuck in extreme poverty .

Unfortunately you are correct in saying that crisis loans have ended. The government are now suggesting that desperate people try food banks, or local charities in times of need.

You can apply for the rent in advance bit, but the deposit is not something that the social will pay for.

Hiya, Iv recently found out that I’m pregnant and my parents want me to move out. I have found a house for £380 a month but I need the first months rent up front. Which I don’t have. Also I have no furniture or Kitchen stuff or anything. I’m in desperate need of help! And this house is perfect because it’s near close family who need help as there older and need me to do things for them. Iv also just been made redundant and currently receiving Job Seekers Allowance. Which isn’t really ideal, but I have applied for jobs and no one will take me on as I’m pregnant. I have been advised about a crisis loan but have no idea how to apply or anything. Also iv been told I need to go to my local Council?

Belinda, you can apply for a crisis loan for rent in advance from the social fund, you can also apply to your local council for help with a deposit if you need that too. Call the Crisis Loan telephone number to apply
